TROUBLE TRACKER

TROUBLE TRACKER HITS THE HARDWOOD

As we finish the regular season in football, the Tracker moves indoors to the hardwood. We have had some incidents earlier in the season, but none to BCS conference programs. That is until now. Two incidents involving females get added to the Tracker this week.

#1) Markieff Morris, a freshman forward for the Kansas Jayhawks becomes the front-runner for the “Dumbest Thing You Could Possibly Do on a College Campus” Award. This happened in August, but his punishment has finally come down. Morris will have to serve 20 hours of community service after shooting a 47-year-old woman with a 3-foot long Air Rifle BB Gun. The female was hit in the arm as she walked through the campus courtyard. Morris was shooting the BB gun from the Jayhawk Towers on campus.

#2) Syracuse University disciplinary board has recommended that Eric Devendorf be suspended for the remainder of the academic year for allegedly hitting a female student in the face. Devendorf plans to appeal the ruling handed down by the school, which says he broke the Student Code of Conduct. Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim said that the appeal process can take anywhere from 15 to 20 days. He will remain a part of the team until the appeal is resolved.
