JUST ANOTHER REASON TO LOVE COLLEGE FOOTBALL!!!!!
12 days after being crowned Champions of the world by pummeling the Ohio State University, USC goes out and lays an egg against a very average Oregon State Beaver team. I love this stuff!
*What does this do to college football? I really can't recall a game that shook the landscape of college football like this. Everyone in the world had USC going undefeated after pasting tOSU. NOBODY saw this one coming. This is an Oregon State team that went into this game a 25-point underdog, a Beaver squad that had gotten upset to open the season at Stanford and embarrassed at Penn State. I can't recall anything like this since...well last December 1st when Pitt pulled a 13-9 over WVU. Things like this is why college football is the greatest sport going right now. You can have your NFL; I'll take college football any day of the week (unfortunately they only play 4-5 days a week.).
*Who would have thought that this OSU team would be the ones to drop the Trojans? I will now call Oregon State, THE OREGON STATE UNIVERSITY or TOSU, Ohio State will still be tOSU, but we shall never capitalize the "t" to show they are not worthy of such acknowledgement.
* Seeing headlines like, BEAVERS BUST UP TROJANS, had to have the contraceptive world in a panic!
* Yankees Stadium is no longer! The ceremony that was put on by the Yankees was 100% 1st class. Well done! I do wonder if Andy Petitte and Roger Clemens were invited to the ceremony and declined or the Yankees wanted to avoid those 2 being there due to the Mitchell Report. Either way, once a gain, Yankees, very nice job! I still hate the Yankees, but I do have to give props for an unbelievable sendoff to THE STADIUM.
* So, THESE are you Pittsburgh Steelers, huh?! The Eagles absolutely embarrassed the Steelers offensive line last weekend and in the process exposed that line to everyone in the league. I look for the Ravens to do similar things this week and Jacksonville the same next week until the Steelers can fix their problems. This is why people didn't have high hopes for this team. You can't continually let top linemen just leave and never replace them, not in the NFL, not in college not in any level of football. Team live and die with their line play, right now the Steelers are dying. Hopefully they can fix it before the season dies away too.

Okay, last week I was 5-1, bumping me up to 14-5 for the season as I once again hit another UPSET PICK last week. The only game I missed was Auburn (my SEC dark-horse) losing to LSU in an absolutely fantastic game. ANOTHER REASON I LOVE COLLEGE FOOTBALL, SEC Football is amazing! You will get another great one in the SEC this week with Alabama going to Georgia.

UPSET OF THE WEEK:
ALABAMA getting 7 points on the road in Athens, GA. This is the 6th time that these two teams have played while both teams are ranked; UGA is 5-0 in the previous 5. Not this time. Nick Saban has Alabama back and will pull out the upset by dominating the trenches and winning a defensive battle over the Georgia Bulldogs.
